In the last days of 2009, in order to intensify contribution activities to FOSS community, iWay has published several products to support Vietnamese users access and use FOSS applications more easily.

On November 3rd, 4th,5th and 27th in Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Dong Thap and Dak Nong, the workshop on promoting in FOSS applications took place. This series was held by Institute of Information Technology for Business (ITB-VCCI) in cooperation with iWay and Asianux Vietnam which are  active company in free and open source software (FOSS).

Export businesses participating in the program “Promote in Information Technology application for integration and development” will be offered 30% discount rate when purchasing IT products and services.

The cooperation between open source service providers is a good signal for open source software community in Vietnam.

In Hanoi, from 17th to 20th September 2009, there will be a Techmart Vietnam ASEAN plus 3 2009 organized by Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology at Vietnam Exhibition Trade Fair Centre.

To celebrate the new release Fedora 11, iWay and HanoiLUG, with support of FedoraProject.org, will organize Fedora 11 Release Party on Friday, 12th June, 2009 (from 18:30) at Lam Anh Cafe (120, A5, Van Phuc st., Ba Dinh dist., Hanoi) – the regular weekly meeting location of HanoiLUG.

ZCS comes in five versions. The Open Source Edition, which is the one I tried, doesn't have all the features of the others, but it's purely open source.
