Export businesses participating in the program “Promote in Information Technology application for integration and development” will be offered 30% discount rate when purchasing IT products and services.

Hanoi - November 09, 2009. Hanoi Department of Information and Communication and Institute of Information Technology for Business signed an agreement  about program for Hanoi export business to promote IT  application for integration and development.

According to the plan No. 25/KH-UBND on March 9, 2009 of Hanoi People's Committee on the implementation of Governmental Resolution No. 30/2008/NQ-CP on December 11, 2008 on the urgent solutions to prevent economic recession, maintain economic growth and ensure social security, Hanoi Department of Communication and Information had plan to support IT application in export business to seek markets,   promote products and brands. Plan was to concretize Central and City policies and to support businesses in seeking markets, building image and brand in IT application intensification.

This is one of the activities in Project 191 of Government on "Assistance Program on Business ICT Adoption for International Integration and Development in the period 2005-2010”. Program is to assist Vietnamese enterprises in saving management cost, seeking markets and potential customers, then to improve competitiveness.

Specifically, participating export businesses will be consulted free of charge  on technical services and solutions such as management software, e-commerce solutions, free and/or open source software,seeking importers, English language training... They also can buy products with preferential price (10% minimum for hardware and from 30% to 100% for software/services) at IT companies which have joined this program.

There are 11 companies which have registered to provide computer, management software, free and/or open source software,  online training ..., including iWay with FOSS services. Thereby, the exporter will take full advantage of the FOSS benefits with reasonable cost to save budget.

The exporting companies which are in need of IT applications can register at Hanoi Department of Information & Communication or Institute of Information Technology for Business to get preferential price. Deadline for taking part in the program is at the end of February 2010, with priority for the first 100 businesses.
