On November 3rd, 4th,5th and 27th in Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Dong Thap and Dak Nong, the workshop on promoting in FOSS applications took place. This series was held by Institute of Information Technology for Business (ITB-VCCI) in cooperation with iWay and Asianux Vietnam which are  active company in free and open source software (FOSS).

Workshop was to support small and medium enterprises to be more aware of FOSS, restrict software piracy, overcome embarrassment and habits of users as well as to know how to access and apply FOSS in business and management. It also was a forum to exchange, provide as well as share information and solutions relating to experience about deployment, boosting supply – demand and developing FOSS community.

Workshop had two parts: one was "Orientation & Cooperation programs to promote FOSS application for state management" with representatives from Departments of MIC, Application office of Ministry of Science and Technology, Institute of information Technology for Business; and the other one "IT – FOSS application in corporate governance" with representatives from companies.

This activity is also one of the content in cooperation agreement between iWay and Asianux Vietnam to collaborate in oder to intensify FOSS application in the user community.
